Finally, an update!!

Ah! I think it's time to do a good update, hehe... Actually I had a post that was halfway done, but it's getting outdated everyday, cos I'm just too lazy to edit it! Haha!

Hmm life has been really really slack after exams, getting a little guilty! A liiitle la, haha... Still feel like "resting" a while more before I plan anything else. But anw, just finished watching "Boys Over Flowers", which is the Korean version of Meteor Garden. I'm totally absolutely hooked onto it, am a crazy fan of it now!! Haha! Or rather, a crazy fan of the F4 in the show. MY GOODNESS, they are super uber HOT and DASHING and CHARMING and CHARASMATIC and SWEET and ROMANTIC and CUTE and...hahaha don't mind me!! Need to share my craze, hehehe :) Honestly I don't find the show particularly nice, but it's just the cast that's attracting me to it. They all look so good, and the clothes they wear are soooo suave and good-fitting on them!! And the places that they film are all soooo nice and high-class!! Oh and I love their uniform!! If only Singapore's school uniforms are half as nice as theirs! But oh well, I guess we'll all melt in the heat if we gotta wear blazers and high-knee socks everyday >.<

Some photos that I googled, I hope it's ok to post them here?? Haha but anw, how can any girl resist them?!?!?! HEHE! I think they totally win hands down as compared to the F4 in the Japanese and Taiwan version. No fight here!! They make the whole drama shine :D Been searching for NG scenes, and whatever news that I can get of them, LOL! And I'm thinking of rewatching the drama one more time, wahaha!! Actually watching this has re-fired my interest in Korean, and I can try to learn as I watch the show, not too bad too? :P I think a good way to learn the language is also from their songs, which I've been replaying continuously for the past few days! haha! But there's a difference between formal and informal use in Korean, which is so confusing to me. Found a "teacher" to teach me, hahaha :P She's so patient with all my questions that I keep bugging her with, and she's really quite pro despite learning only for 2 sems! Thanks Karin!! :)

Wanted to dedicate a part of my post to YY like how I did with KL, but it's been a week since she left, so sorry!! She should be able to have internet connection from where she's staying now, and we've met on msn a few times already. But oh well, it's the thought that counts right! Haha so YY!!! This is for you!! Hope you've settled down proper in Thailand, and hope that you're enjoying urself there!! So far it seems as if everything is going well yeah, may things go well for the next 1 month! :) It's quite weird not having you in Singapore!! Haha! Considering we've known each other since 2001, it's the 9th year already!! WOAH it's kinda scary when you count it..lol.. And we've always met up quite frequently, especially for CO pracs.. hehehe... looking forward to going Poland with you!! Take lotsa care, see you when u r back!!! Come back with plenty of beautiful memories and experiences!!! :)

Let me post some photos with NYCO on our Sentosa gathering!! It feels ages ago though, wahaha.

The jump shots that we took! Only putting 2 here, loads more in FB! Haha too many to post already!

The girls!The guys!

NYCO 05/06 batch family photo! Haha..Glad to see so many turn up for dinner! Really miss the days in NYCO; life was fun and carefree! Everyone has grown up, but we can still crap and joke like last time, I'm glad the "feeling" is still there. Hehe :)

Uploading photos is quite a troublesome chore! argh. But I like to have photos in my post, it's like a timeline diary, I can look back and see what I did, where I went, with whom. When I read other people's blogs I like those that have photos too, doesn't feel so wordy and boring.

Went with yy, karin, enoch and yongxue to the zoo the day right after the Sentosa gathering. My gosh, my legs were aching from all the numerous jump shots, really have no idea how i managed to drag myself around the zoo!! haha!

Just some photos we took there.. Enoch was our photographer the whole day, haha! Oh but the photo above that doesn't have me, I was the photographer!! Hehehe. My first time carrying a DSLR ehh..so heavy!! And it's so expensive, scaryy..

Ahh finally manged to do up this post! woots! Shall go off to bed, been sleeping quite late for the past few days. Shall try to discipline myself to sleep no later than 130am everyday!! Haha...TRY la. Goodnights all, whichever part of the world u are at!! :)

nyco gathering whee!!

Actually I'm freaking shagged now..But since I turned on my com to check sth, thought I'll just do a short update about today!

Had a gathering with NYCO friends from my batch, went to Sentosa in the morning followed by dinner at Kim Gary HK restaurant at night. Must say, today's gathering was fun fun FUN! :) Haven't laughed so much, played so much, ran so much, jumped so much for a looong time!!! HAHA and that explains my aching muscles now, ouchhh. First time playing Ultimate Frisbee, and OMG it's totally ULTIMATE!!! The amount of running to and fro is crazyyyy!! I think I really need to exercise more, ran out of breath damn fast, haha!

The other more memorable "activity" was our jump shots! HAHA! Totally can't count how many times we jumped. I think we jumped for like half an hour?! It was so hard to get everyone to synchronise and jump tgt, but I totally liked the way we counted down from 10..9..8...1 and JUMP! You see! We even took into account the half beat! "1 and" jump! Haha i guess only those who have been in an aesthetic group or who knows music will understand what i'm saying? Hehe..we are so "orchestraish" :P Oh well but I must admit it's freaking tiring to jump and jump and jump and jump.....whew! Took tons of photos!! I'll try to share the nicer looking ones next time yeah! :) Thanks to Casper for organising this gathering, turnout was great! And I realised how unproportionate our balance of guys and girls! In total, we had 16 ppl, 5 girls and 11 guys. I rmb we had lesser girls last time, but I didn't realise that the numbers were soo imbalanced! And you would think that a chinese orchestra would have more girls?!(Hmm ok prob it's only me who would think this way) :)

Ok, I'm soo looking forward to lying on my comfy bed now, so shall update more another time! Going to the zoo tmr with nusco peeps!! Haha! dun ask me y it's at the zoo....I have no idea too...I don't know how am I going to wake up on time tmr...Oh but before that I'll be going to school for a briefing for Research Assistants. Like yayy I finally can get to be a RA!! It's nothing much but I guess it does mean a little in my Psychology path? :) And it's something to spice up my hols abit, which seems to be quite empty and unfulfilling at the moment... I really really hope to get the internships I applied for but....sighh i guess no news sometimes doesn't mean good news. It's ok! I still have the Poland trip to look forward to..so..YAYY! :D

Nights all!!

post-exam update

Time for a good update!! :) I realise I tend to get lazy when I have more time on hand instead, haha! SOOOO...Ended my exams on thursday, which is like FINALLY!!! Haven't taken 5 final exams for the past two sems, and at such a long stretch too! In the past my exams always seem to end quite early; shortens the torture!!! But oh well, I've survived through this round :) Performance wise...pray hard for the best is all I can say. HA!

Went to the library on thurs, wanted to borrow some books to "improve" my intellectual level. Heh heh. There was this guidebook for learning basic Korean Language, but it comes with a dvd, and I gotta be a premium member of the library to borrow it. I can't even borrow the book by itself, HUMPH. To be a premium member, you have to pay $21 membership fee a year. I know it may not seem much, but honestly, I have NEVER borrowed dvds from the library, and I totally don't see the need to (except for that dvd that comes with the guidebook). The librarian was saying that the library has other dvds that I can borrow to watch too, but aiya, I really doubt I would. I would rather spend the $21 to buy a new book; one that I can refer to anytime I want, or even make notes on it. But anw, I still found the book quite useful, so I decided to photocopy! Haha :P Yah yah I know all that about plagarism, lecturers have been drilling that into our brains since year 1. I only photocopied 1 chapter ok! (Though I'm not too sure if it is more than 10% of the book). Hoho.

I also borrowed this book by Josephine Cox, called "Songbird". I loooooove books by Josephine Cox!!!!!!! I can proudly say that I've read ALL her books that I can find at my community library; I always check out her section everytime I go to the library. I must admit, the collection of her books there is really quite limited, but I think I've already read about half of all the books she wrote. Her style of writing is not the very intellectual type(do pardon me), at least I don't expect to learn big words or big concepts from her books. However, the way she writes is very vivid and enrapturing, I often feel as if I can see the whole scene unfold in front of my eyes. Her descriptions are really wonderful, and her stories always manage to tug at the heart. Her storylines tend to be a little similar though, such that the main characters always go through many many hardships and misery before shining through. However, ALL the storylines are sooooo captivating, I simply love them! The language she uses is abit like "old english", hmmm I don't really know what's the best description, but it's just not like the modern english normally used in books. Whenever I read all that the main characters have to go through, really, anyone of us would feel lucky and fortunate for all we have in our lives. :) I always find it so hard to stop halfway, cos i so want to know what happens next! And I should say, her plots are always so well thought out, there are many surprises along the way. Not to mention that her stories are so inspiring, they teach me so much about life. Nothing fancy nothing big, just simple things about life. Her books are super good for relaxing, so if you want to read something that is simple and good, to feel as if you live together with the people in the books, do try Josephine Cox!!! :) Highly recommended!! :D

Went Kbox with yy yest, sang from 2-6, shiok ah!! Haha! Have been thinking of kboxing since a long time ago, and finally I satisfied the "craving"!! Hahaha..But! Still not enough la, hehe :P Looking forward to more kbox gatherings!!! wheee! :) Met up with suona friends after that for dinner, including chu he lao shi! Haha. We went Miao Yi, which is at Coronation Plaza. I've been there a few times before, so I knew that their food is not too bad. It's a vegeterian restaurant by the way, but the way that they cook their dishes are delicious, kind of like eating real meat actually. Yum! We went to have dessert after that, at this cafe that sells gelato ice-cream. Can't rmb the name of the shop, but their ice-cream was yummy!!!I liked the coconut flavour; the taste was so rich and creamy, and there were real bits of coconut. I chose hazelnut, which tasted like Kinder Bueno!Haha! Yummy too! :) Lao shi shared alot of his experiences and knowledge, and I was telling Karin that he seems to have this HUGE vessel of knowledge in him, which he spills a little to us everytime. It's kinda amazing really, and I feel as if I learn alot from him. Though I must admit that he kinds of goes on and on and on and on........Ha! :P But I guess it's our fortune to be able to share some of his knowledge :)

Woahh ok this is one lengthy wordy post! Hope it didn't bore you out!! One more thing to write on, dedicated to the dearest girl who's flying off to Berlin later!! (considering it's past midnight now)
