stayover at sheares hall :)

phew it's damnnnn late le la... but anw shall just do up a short and sweet post of staying over in Sheares Hall(as i promised kj) , otherwise the amount of things tt i wanna update abt just seems to keep snowballing..haha! :)

SO, the story starts with Cai Ping, Celia and me going over to kj's room in Sheares to stay over.. haha.. We met at Clementi first to have our dinner, before taking bus into SH. We went in from the back gate, which i've never seen before. Couldn't even recognise that we were inside NUS already! haha. And my first impression when stepping in was tt SH really looks so much like a condo! haha...not bad not bad! :) went up to kj's room, which i really find very cosy and comfortable! it's NOT dirty at all la, CKJ! :):) The poster at the head of her bed is really soo funni la, and cp didnt even realise it was kj's face on it. muahaha!

Can't really rmb wad we did exactly, but i know we took internal shuttle bus tt brought us one round ard the school, so we could give cp a mini NUS tour. Haha! It was soo comfortable sitting on the bus, I didn't feel like getting down la! hehe. We stopped at pgp, where we met up with xy! Havent seen her for ages le, and she still looks much the same :) took quite a few photos, with some model-like formations much thx to our dearest photographer! lol.. we went to pgp supper house, intending to get some yummy supper, but we realised tt there wasn't much tt attracted us. haha.. went up to xy's room to visit; the corridors look so sombre and scary when i first stepped in, and all the doors where painted grey, not a very exciting colour :X but! the whole feel felt different once i stepped into her room. It's felt so cosy too! although it seemed a little small and cramped, i think it's rather sufficient for one person to stay in. I loove the shelf right in front of her bed, and the fact tt there's a sink in her room! so convenient! :) But i must admit tt it's definitely a more lonely life as compared to hall life, since in residence everyone tends to keep more to themselves..
We walked back to SH after tt, since it was already past midnight and there were no more shuttle buses. The road back was quite scary laa! so dark and creepy!! There was this person sitting at the entrance to some i-dunno- what- place, and that really gave us a scare. Eeks, I wouldnt want to walk there on my own at any time of the day- the area is super deserted!! The rest of the night was passed with us sitting on the swing, eating instant noodles, playing taboo, having HTHT! haha... oh! and we went to find kj's fren too..forgot wad's his name. Both of them are soo cute when they are bickering and teasing each other!! haha.. he is superrrrr entertaining la, i kept laughing at his antics and wad he was saying. HAHAHA! super nice and friendly!! :) Good to see her making such a great fren in hall, so they can at least take care of each other.

We didn't sleep for the whole night, except for some dozing-off periods.. haha.. had SH breakfast, which was okok, then we set off for home! Took 51 back, which stops right in front of my hse!! It's more convenient, just that the journey would be longer as compared to MRT. Was sleeping throughout the bus journey, so shagged! Haha i guess my energy level is really quite low, cant even tahan one night of not sleeping. :P When i reached home, had a very light lunch, bathed, then fell asleep immediately. Totally missed my dinner; my mum woke me up at 1030 to eat, but i only had the energy to nod my head before i fell asleep agn. haha. the next time i woke up was 230am, brushed my teeth(i hate the fuzzy feeling on my teeth when i dun brush), then went back to sleep agn. Forgot wad time i woke up the next day, but all in all i slept for abt 20 hours. Haha! like a piggg, super kua zhang!

Pardon for my detailed and wordy post! haha! Meant this to be short entry, but i can't help but keep typing and talking abt all the nitty gritty stuff. Probably i'm afraid that if i dun write down i might forget them in future. Shall share some photos tt we took! :)

Sleepy!! Goodnight, ciaos! :)

Shall continue with my christmas day, before the girls think that I've forgotten abt them, hehe :P

So after meeting up with 05A7Bees, yy and i rushed off to dhobu ghaut to meet chui and sy. We went to a restaurant near PS, called "Giraffe". I never noticed it there before, although it's so near. It feels kind of hidden in the woods, haha, but on first glance it looks not too bad. I like the outdoor seats on the first level!! :) If I do go back there agn i wanna sit thr! hehe.

The menu was rather limited, with only three pages inclusive of starters, main course and desserts!! Haha..Not very used to so few selections, but I was thinking that this means that they are more specialised. It's good in that sense i guess? :) And anw the food turned out to be good! For mine at least, and the girls also seemed to enjoy their food too! I ordered some Italian risotto, which is supposed to be rice with seafood and spicy tomato sauce. Changed it to spaghetti though; was in a "pasta mood" . hehe.

My main course! I don't eat mussels, cos i'm very scared of the fishy smell. But i must admit that the mussels they served were very fresh! They didn't have any eeky smell, and tasted quite alright (although I am still not a mussel lover). There were quite alot of prawns and squids, and they were all fresh and tasty! The sauce was just nice too, not too spicy :) yum yum!

Some random photos i took..

The pretty gal! :)

The little bunny acting cute! :P

Look at her mini santa claus hat!! so cute and christmassy :)

The four of us, minus si yi! :( Next time ok!!

We played 终极密码 for our gift exchange, instead of the usual drawing lots. Haha it's more fun and exciting this way!! :) We shall continue with this method okay!!Haha! I got a body mist from chui, thanks! It smells niceee! :) I like the gift i bought for the exchange! It's a pillow that has a speaker in the middle, so u can just plug it to ur mp3 and u can blast ur songs whilst resting on the pillow. So cool la! :) I wouldn't mind having one for myself too...hehe..

So I guess that summarises abt all for my Christmas! 2009 is coming... in a few days time. Do cherish the days we have left in 2008, before we embark on a new journey in 2009!!! :)

Shall sign off now, byeeeeee!

new blogskin!

Whoo!! Have finally changed a new blogskin! :) I like this!! Gives me a comfortable feeling, a little like I'm underwater.. hehe.. Thx to the blogskin creator, she's good! :) Well I realise it's quite a chore to change blogskin, having to choose the design that i like, then edit the template, having to edit all the nitty gritty details until it's personalised to me. Argh. Shall stick to this for as long as possible, haha.

Yesterday was Christmas! Met up with jc "class" in the afternoon. Haha you must be wondering why the "". It was supposed to be a class gathering, but in the end only 6 of us turned up. HA. It ended up more like a girls' gathering ba :P But it felt great to be with the girls, and I finally saw Xiu Xiu!! Haha! Like after soooo long, at least a year le ba??

We met at Changing Appetites @ marina square for lunch..My first time eating there! Hmm the food is not too bad :)

My dear gals, it was great seeing u all agn! Hope that our class can continue to meet up occasionally, be it just for simple meals and catch up sessions!! :)

Skipping the random stuffs that we did along the way, I shall blog about our HIGHLIGHT of the day!!haha! We went to marina bay, where they were giving out ballons which we can write our wishes on. They will then put these balloons into the river, somewhat like those traditions of putting your lanterns on the waters then let them drift away. And just like these traditions, the wishes that we wrote on the balloon will come true!! muahaha. At least I believe that if your heart believes in that, it'll come true! :)

It was quite fun really, writing on the balloon and decorating it. Do hope that our wishes will come true! and see wad we wrote for our general wish?

From the bottom of our hearts!! :)

Ah well gotta rush off! Realise i take rather long to write an entry and having to upload the photos, that's y i get lazy everytime i think of updating, although i do have quite a lot of stuffs to say! haha. Ciaos!!

2nd entry up!

Have been thinking about writing this entry since I've been back from hk, but just feeling soo lazyyy :P Shall just write wad i feel like, and continue the rest another time. :)

Must first talk abt CO camp! Haha.. Ehh.. it was definitely a much better experience than last time! :) At least it now feels more like a camp (sorry to the previous camp comm), rather than just practising and practising all day long. I guess the company mattered too; it's much better to have ppl u know ard :) Forming us into groups was definitely a good thing, so it felt like we had a "group" to belong to and bond with. BUT!!! my group was abit sad case la. Still can remember the first day's morning, when all of the facils were waiting for our members to come, my group had only ONE person!!! like HUH?! so jealous when i saw other groups bonding tgt lo..haha.. but at least I combined with another group, so not so bad. :) Only towards the afternoon did another 2 more came, but still.... lucky xintian and thi ha joined us, or else our group will really be rather pathetic. On the 2nd day and 3rd day there was only ONE from my group laa!! The other two-one totally disappeared after the first day, the other one would come and go after a while. But i heard she was unwell la, so cant blame her :) Had some alumni joining us also, so our group was a little japalang! haha! EHH But in the end we got the best group ok!! haha! so it's true that small groups does wonders too! :P And I think all of my members were great, very sporting!! :) Especially Kah Yen, she's very nice! and many thanks to her for being the only member that stayed throughout the camp(except for the comm members). There's just one thing that I felt quite bad to her, that I did not spend more time with her and her friends. I was with chui guan ppl most of the time, and i guess we can get rather clique-ish. Was telling yy, that it seemed like a cycle, a repeat of the last camp. We'll keep sticking to the ppl we are familiar with, and will tend to miss out on time to spend with others. Sigh but nvm! There's still other chances i hope! :)

Ahhh well...getting sleepy liao.. Haha shall continue in my next entry ba!! Good night! :)

First entry!! :)

My first entry in blogspot! :) Decided to switch over from lj, which I didn’t find very user-friendly. This probably also signifies a new "phase" in life? Haha... Having holidays now, school starting in one month's time!! Told myself that I MUST put in even more effort next sem, get better grades!! :D Have kind of decided to drop elang as my minor; realise that the journey is really a tough and challenging one. One that I find very hard to cope with :( Have been telling myself to hold on, not to give up till the last min, but honestly, I don't see myself doing well in elang. It's starting to become a subject that I dread, and my interest for it has dwindled... So rather than holding onto something that I have no "feeling" for, I should probably let go? Ah well, that sounded a bit emo, but it's what I've been considering for this sem. OH and I realise ALL the higher level elang mods are seminar style!!! Argh.. stress man... Hmm well, "walk one step see one step" ba..haha..

Am going to be rather busy these two weeks! Having CO camp from 12th to 15th, followed immediately by HK trip from 16th to 20th!! :):) Just started to pack my luggages, so many things to pack!! I need to pack for my HK trip before I go for the camp, as I would be flying off the next day after returning, doubt I'll have much time or energy to do so by then. With my speed, hope I can get everything done in two days! :P

oh ya.. Wanna talk abit abt the channel 8 programme: Life Transformers. Was watching it yesterday, and it was the last episode!! So saddd..I think it's a really meaningful programme, can help those in society that are really in need. It's really so touching every week to see the volunteers cleaning the houses of the needy, doing whatever they can to improve their lives. Yesterday's episode they were showing all the things that the volunteers had done, all that they had contributed. And big KUDOS to Quan Yifeng and Christopher Lee!! :) I think they did very well. They were showing how Quan Yifeng was soo scared of roaches and lizards at the first few episodes, but dared to catch them with her hands by the last few episodes. And when I see the smiles of those that they helped, how much their lives had changed, it really touches me :) Hope there will be a sequel, more episodes to come!

Went to visit lao shi on saturday, tgt with SMYC mates. 10 of us went, which is not bad a turnout i guess! :) It's good to see everyone agn, it's been a year since choir officially stopped yeah? Gosh.. time seems to pass by soooo fast. Nearly everyone's in jc/poly, or entering next year. Finally, I dun feel so old anymore! Haha :P AND I'm not the tallest anymore! whee! haha. I so dun like to stick out like a sore thumb :P I guess we all felt a certain degree of awkwardness, esp with lao shi... But actually I feel much the same around them, that we can still strike conversations randomly with each other :) It's more with lao shi ba, that the atmosphere became more solemn and "cold". Haha quite a bit of leng chang there ahhh... Although he kept asking us if we wanna "restart" the choir, we seemed quite at loss at what to say. From the initiation of this gathering, to the willingness of those who came down, I can see that we all still have regard for lao shi and this choir. It's very heartwarming when some of them say that they do miss choir now and then, and so do I :) It's definitely sad to see our choir come to an end, but we must all admit that it's hard to commit ourselves. Especially when so many of us are busy with school and whatnots, it's rather meaningless to start lessons agn with the attendance like last time. We now all have our own lives, and after the previous year, we have other things to cope with, new lifestyles that do not include SMYC as a part. Probably we can just do as lao shi said, meet up once in a while to just see how everyone is doing, to keep this precious bond between us going. Maybe when we are less busy, we can start an adults' choir? Wahaha... ok that's too far in the future to talk abt now. Just hope that all of us will stay happy and have a fabulous life ahead yeah! :)

Whew!! This is a looong entry man! Shall end of here. To all reading this, good night!! :)
